Hey hey hey folks!!!

How has your week been?!

As you know, I'm at the Provo MTC where I'll be for the next four weeks!

The last few days before I left last week were rough. That's it. I said bye to my favorite people over the span of four days and it got harder each time. Almost immediately after saying "see ya later" each time, I felt the overwhelming feeling of my Heavenly Father's love and assurance that this is what I'm supposed to be doing. An elder in my district said something that has really stuck with me and encouraged me to change the desires of my heart. He said "I've learned over the past few months that this is what I'm supposed to do, but ever since I've been here (at the mtc) I've come to know that this is what I WANT TO DO." I didn't always want to serve a mission, but I felt 8 months ago that I needed to. I truly believed that I wanted to do it too! But as time went on, and the countdown got shorter and shorter, I started realizing all of the things that I'd be missing out on while I'm gone. At one point during HOME MTC, I let the adversary sneak a doubt in my mind if serving would even be worth it. I quickly fell to my knees and prayed for the faith and strength that I had once before. It was almost instant that my mind went blank and I was consumed with the love and faith of the Savior. Over the next few weeks, I'm going to strive and try my best change the desires of my heart to align with God's.

God lives guys. It cannot be anymore simple. He is aware of us and our struggles. He loves us all so much more than we can ever comprehend. Pray to feel His love. He answers prayers.

How has everyone's week been?!  My subject line is kindly brought to you by Elder Van Tassel and my quote book.  This week's spiritual thought is brought to you by my own stubbornness and President M. Russel Ballard.  Flashback to before I got my mission call. I was so excited to go and serve! I had a sure feeling that I was going to South America, you could ask anyone, I knew I was going to South America. However, I thought I would be Spanish speaking. I had a background in Spanish and am minoring in it at school and overall just love the language. Then I got called to the only country in South America that doesn't speak Spanish. I was in shock for a while which ...
