Yo yo yo ma bois.

Whats crackalacking?!

Thank you to those who have prayed for me and my adjustment to Missionary life. I feel your prayers and your faith! I am so grateful for them. KEEP THEM COMING!

WEEKLY LIGHTS:

- going to seminary with our ward and absolutely loving it ! We're going to keep going because it's helping me learn, A LOT.

- teaching a practice lesson in district council... it was an experience

- participating in my old seminary class's missionary week! (And seeing some of my missionary friends on the call too!)

- Sister Barros made some BOMB chicken and rice for lunch yesterday. Yes, we have rice and meat for lunch EVERYDAY. but this was different, and better.

- RAMEN HITS DIFFERENT HERE. (Irmã Arnett was SO RIGHT)

- receiving some super sweet, inspiring messages and emails from some super sweet important people in my life. They were all needed, thank you

- teaching a full lesson for the first time!

- still not understanding português. I can say a lot more than I can understand. That's hard when you don't know what you're supposed to say or what question you're answering

- meeting my zone leaders in person. Legit.

- my Chaco tan is coming in NOICE.

- BRASILEIROS HAVE NO CHILL ON THE ROAD. I've seen motorcycles with 2 adults, 1 child, 1 baby, AND a dog FLYING DOWN THE ROAD. these people make Utah drivers look normal.

- watching the chapel turn into a salon

- Mangos are good here! They don't taste like pine cones

- having a Brasilian pancake. They're like my moms enchiladas. (Yes mom, yours are better)

- inviting Abraão to be baptized ! He said that he needs more knowledge before... but it was still exciting!

- having to shove my wallet in my shirt because Sister Barros thought we were going to get robbed. TWICE.

- getting locked in our room for 14 hours. I'll try and send a vid explaining it

- learning that I share two genes with my uncle Cort. We both cry a lot, and we both sweat... a lot. MAN DOES IT GET HOT HERE.

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:

this week was better. Not easy, but better. I have been consistently praying for power and strength to get through the day. To get done what has been asked of me. I've also started to pray for angels to be around us. THIS MAKES SUCH A DIFFERENCE. I can physically feel the love that God and Jesus Christ have for me. I can more physically feel the strength that the enabling power of the Atonement gives me. I'm feeling the power that my covenants that I've made with God give me.

I was reading in Jacob 5 and the Lord of the vineyard says to the servant: "Spare it a little longer." That's what I'm doing. I'm sparing it a little longer. I'm taking everything one step at a time.

Kachow Moment:

This one is a small moment. One night when we were saying our prayers, I volunteered to say our comp prayer. I've said it before but I used the same few phrases that I know it Portuguese and then throw in whatever I don't know in English. This time was different. When I prayed, I said the entire thing in Portuguese and I used words and phrases that I had only heard, never actually used. I could feel the Spirit feeding the words to my mouth as I spoke.

It was amazing.

Afterward, Sister Barros was so proud of me and was super sweet and encouraging.

I know the gift of tongues is real! SO REAL. We learned in a MTC devotional that in order for us to receive the fullness of this gift, we have to:

1. Believe in it

2. Ask for it

3. Work for it

4. Be worthy of it

5. Use it for the right reasons

!!!!

I'm living by this right now^^^

Somethings to pray for:

- Abraão

- your favorite missionary and her adjusting stomach :)

I would love to hear from you and your updates!

I love you all so so much. I would not be here without you and your prayers!
