HAPPY GRADUATION DAY REECE!!! And all my buddies who are peacing out of Nampa high tonighttttt.
Soooo I was transferred to.... PROSIND! This area is about a 12 min drive from Geisel. (It has the beach. #iwinthemission ) my new companion is...SISTER CETRE!!! She is from Ecuador and has been out for two transfers longer than I have, so we are learning Portuguese together hahah. The members here are amazing and I'm excited for what this new area will bring! I MISS MY DISTRICT SO MUCH. Sister Palharin and Sister Doherty will forever be remembered for setting standards HIGH for best district. I miss Geisel and my friends back there so much but who knows, maybe I'll head back there someday?
Face update: it's not swollen, not as dry, but I have some dry patches that are showing up now so we'll see what this week brings. Your prayers are still welcomed and encouraged!!

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:
this week was hard. But it was a good hard. When I got transferred I was SO NERVOUS. I was just starting to get comfortable with my area and the members and now I have to do it all over again. AND this has been a week of understanding Portuguese, not really speaking it. I'm understanding it SO MUCH BETTER but speaking has kinda hit a wall. That's hard because I want to talk all the time. But, we were having a lesson with a recent convert and a member yesterday, and they started talking about having to be patient with yourself. I know that that conversation was directed by the Spirit because it wasn't dealing with the lesson at all ahah. We were teaching Vitor, but the Spirit was teaching me. They said that you can't worry about what your life is going to be like in a year or in two weeks. God has is all under control. Patience is the Christlike attribute I am working this week and I challenge you all to do the same!! Study what the scriptures say about patience and apply it to your life !!!
KACHOW MOMENT:
the day I got here in Prosind, we were going to invite 4 people to be baptized. Well, we invited 1 person and she wasn't even originally planned. And she didn't accept. We were a little bummed. Everyone else had either moved, or completely lost interest. The bishop had received the records of a 12 year old boy José who was a recent convert and the only member in his family and sent his information information us. We went over to his house to meet him and his family and it was amazing. He was so excited and full of light! He reminded me a lot of my cousin Jude!! #missyoubro we met his mom and she's awesome too! We went back the next day to teach and we invited his little sister, Eloisa, to be baptized! we've been over every night with different members teaching and getting Eloisa prepared for baptism. This has been suxh a miracle and a blessing!!!
Things to pray for:
- Vitor
- inairas surgery
- christlike patience!!
God loves you and so do I!
