*I'm starting to love Brasil but Brasil doesn't love me.*
Okay, gonna keep this one quick.
WEEKLY LIGHTS:
- açaí
- Proselyting online
- trusting in the lord and His plan
- my face swelling up 3 sizes larger than normal
- lots of scripture study
- getting flowers from an old man
- lots of phone calls
- Putting graça on date for baptism!
Okay, back to that point about my face. This week, I am having some sort of reaction to something here in Brasil and my face swells up immensely and intensely. There is a rash throughout my entire face and neck that is constantly itching and burning. Nothing seems to help and I've seen two doctors. I've had to learn to not only trust in the Lord with my physical health but also my mental health with being stuck inside for three days. I received a priesthood blessing by my mission president and his brother who is visiting.
I'm going to add some photos that may seem graphic, and kinda are. I promise they look worse than it is. But it still really hurts. If there is anyone who has seen something like this before or has any idea, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. You can message me or my mom throughout the week. ANYTHING WILL HELP!
I'll see one more doctor this next week and keep you guys updated next week with what we can find out.
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:
Don't really have just one moment but the past few weeks I've been reading the New Testament. I don't think I've read it since seminary, and who am I kidding, did I really read all of it in Seminary? (I'm kidding mom and Brother McKee) But while reading I am marking everytime a miracle is performed. There's a lot. I know that God performs miracles because I'm still here in Brasil. That's a miracle. I know God performs miracles because I'm still smiling. That's a miracle. He isn't going to perform every single miracle that you want at any given time. But it's going to be what will be best for you. You can find miracles everyday if you look for them.
KACHOW MOMENT:
Again, this week, isn't the best week to choose a kachow moment. But this week we put Graça on date for baptism and it was a super cool experience! She was baptized in the catholic church as a child and then recently baptized in the Evangelical church. This past week, before we met her, she was wondering if her baptism was valid. She was praying for an answer. Then we came and knocked on her door. When we went and taught her, she was so grateful and appreciative that we were there. It was a tender experience.
THINGS TO PRAY FOR:
- my health (physical and mental)
- Graça and her husbands health
- to see a miracle in your life!
I love you all so so much and am so grateful for your prayers. I am relying on them this week. I hope you all have a great week and can see little miracles in your life.
God loves you and so do I!
