WEEKLY LIGHTS:

- Getting absolutely DRENCHED from the rain

- PIZZAAAA

- speaking in sacrament meeting...

 - finding out that I have cousin serving with me?!

 - meeting with president and the other secretaries about our calling !!!

- having 9 of our friends come to church yesterday !!

okay, little backstory about my "cousin". There is this elder in my mission who is from the *other side of Idaho, Pocatello... Anyway, I have family out there so I got to talking with him today and it turns out that his sister married my cousin who lives there! So no, we aren't technically cousins but hey, it's a small world!!

 SPIRITUAL THOUGHT

This week I shared a message after a lunch with members on counseling with the Lord instead of just talking to Him. I am still working on memorizing scripture references, but this is a scripture that I have had memorized for years. ALMA 37:37. It is amazing. When I shared it, it happened to be the mom's favorite scripture and she instantly started crying. This wasn't some big moment, but I know that it was the Spirit guiding me. Also, I have such a strong testimony of prayer. Prayer isn't a one-sided conversation where we just talk at God. It is an opportunity to talk with Him and hear Him.

Things to pray for:

- Sister Cetre and her companions ♡

- Erivaldo

- Davi and his parents

God loves you and so do I!

How has everyone's week been?!  My subject line is kindly brought to you by Elder Van Tassel and my quote book.  This week's spiritual thought is brought to you by my own stubbornness and President M. Russel Ballard.  Flashback to before I got my mission call. I was so excited to go and serve! I had a sure feeling that I was going to South America, you could ask anyone, I knew I was going to South America. However, I thought I would be Spanish speaking. I had a background in Spanish and am minoring in it at school and overall just love the language. Then I got called to the only country in South America that doesn't speak Spanish. I was in shock for a while which ...
