Subject explanation: 

The bairro ( suburb) that we live in ran out of water on Tuesday. we showed up at our apartment after sweating and working all day so excited to take a shower, and nothing. So we ended up spending the night at some other sisteres apartment, which was awesome! Kinda a struggle to have 4 girls share one shower and bathroom... but we are so grateful for the sisteres of maniera 🙏🏼🙏🏼


How's the heat in the states?? Right now is kinda a funny time because its actually a lot hotter back home than it is here kkkk 


WEEKLY LIGHTS:

- blitz in bessa!!

- we invited Junior to be baptized and he accepted!! He lives in another area but we are working with the other sisteres and he will still attend the same church building! (And he bought us açaí to celebrate 🎉)

- we got the new preach my gospel!! 

- went to a rodízio de pizza. It's like Disneyland for pizza lovers. (I ate 11 pieces) 

- Elder Harvey's bdayyyy

- we met the cousin of a member who has the BIGGEST desire to be baptized! We made American cookies !! 

- Saw a pretty big lizard this week 


SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:

A few years ago when this talk came out I fell in love with it. Ive loved it for years. I swear I listened to it three or four times every week in Provo lol. This part specifically catches my eye EVERYTIME. 

"When it comes to your happiness and salvation, it is always worth the effort to keep trying. It is worth the effort to adjust your lifestyle and traditions. The Lord is aware of the challenges you face. He knows you, He loves you, and I promise, He will send angels to help you."

The talk is called I believe in Angels. It's by Elder Godoy. It will change your life. I promise that if we keep pushing through those tough times, doing the right things, we will see differences. We will be blessed!! 


KACHOW MOMENT: 

We gave out 50 BOMs this week!! We have a mission wide goal to give out 3 every day, every missionary. And we knocked it out of the park! It's so much fun to spread the gift and blessing that the Book of Mormon is with everyone!!

And we went to another city that is even more in the middle of nowhere.  The car we were in wasn't the  safest either ahaha. #gottalovebrasil As we were traveling, I had a vision. I saw that the car blew up in smoke and that we would be stranded in this city until late. And then... it happened. Thirty seconds after we turned a corner and all we heard was BOOM. and all we saw was SMOKE. everyone was okay but something overheated. We stayed there working for a few hours and it got dark real fast. We all prayed and the car was ready and then we left! We are all fine but it wasn't the greatest feeli...
