Transfers happened and I stayed in my area but got a new companion! She's Brazilian and is one of the smartest people I've ever met. We've never served super close before so it's gonna be a fun time getting to know her! She's super sweet and I'm exited for this transfer! 



SUBJECT EXPLANATION: 

We also have another American in the apartment!!! Her name is Sister Corbridge and she is the most amazing person. She is super sweet and kind hearted. This is her second transfer out on the mission and she is a lot fresher on her English and helps me when i forget how to speak it. 🙃


WEEKLY LIGHTS: 

-  inviting our friend aryton to be baptized! He lives in another city but we are keeping up with him and his journey!! 

- teaching Mikaele! She's the daughter of some recent converts and she isn't baptized. So we are working to help the family come back to church and baptize her and get to the temple!!! 

- FUN FACT: president boone lives in our area. He walked up behind me last week and scared the 💩 out of me. Thanks President for always keeping me on my toes ! 

- we got a family to come back to church and even share her testimony in sacrament meeting!!! 

- worked a lot with the members this week, it was so good !!

- I fell down this week. Like. For reals. I fell on the sidewalk and tore up my knees. It was kinda legit. 

- saw a capibaura (don't know how you spell it.) 

- went up to play the piano yesterday at church and the piano wasn't working so I just sat there....



SPIRITUAL MOMENT: 

This new year brought the new come follow me. O LIVRO DE MÓRMON!!!! yayyyyyyyy

I've always loved the book of Mormon but on the mission my love has tripled in size. 

And with come follow me, it's even bigger and deeper! We have such a HUGE AND NEAT AND BLESSED opportunity to have this gift in our lives. This guide. This LIGHT. We cannot take advantage of it. We need the Book of Mormon and all that it is to prepare and protect us for the future. Please, go read it. I'll be following along and will give my feedback every week !!! 


KACHOW MOMENT: 

I was a little nervous to get a new companion and have to show her an area that I don't even know too well yet but I truly leaned on the Lord and His enabling power of the atonement. I'm so grateful for Him and His power. We taught SO much that first day. It was awesome.

And we went to another city that is even more in the middle of nowhere.  The car we were in wasn't the  safest either ahaha. #gottalovebrasil As we were traveling, I had a vision. I saw that the car blew up in smoke and that we would be stranded in this city until late. And then... it happened. Thirty seconds after we turned a corner and all we heard was BOOM. and all we saw was SMOKE. everyone was okay but something overheated. We stayed there working for a few hours and it got dark real fast. We all prayed and the car was ready and then we left! We are all fine but it wasn't the greatest feeli...
