"I love riding in cars :)" 7.24/10

MISSION STATISTICS BOARD Name: Sister Peterson  Mission: Brasil João Pessoa Current Location: Oceania Current Companion: Sister Johnson Current Transfer: 4/12 Week: 3/6 Total Weeks: 24/70 Address:  R. João Amorim, 429 Centro 58013-310 João Pessoa - PB Brazil As missionaries in Brasil, we are on our feet all the time. It's pretty rare to ride in a car. Public transit is more common, but cars here are luxurious. With my new calling, we've had a lot of meetings at the office. It doesn't make sense to walk to the office so we usually call an uber. And this past week we had zone council. And a training at the office. And another meeting with President. AND PDAY WITH THR ENTIRE MISSION. So we have been BLESSED GREATLY and have been in a lot of cars this week. And it made me realize that I'm like that little old grandma in Christmas Vacation who loves riding in cars :) WEEKLY LIGHTS: - PIZZA. We ate SO MUCH pizza this week.  - Erivaldos baptism fell through :( - two of th...

I'm serving with my cousin?!: 7/10

MISSION STATISTICS BOARD Name : Sister Peterson  Mission : Brasil João Pessoa Current Location : Oceania Current Companion : Sister Johnson Current Transfer : 4/12 Week : 3/6 Total Weeks : 23/70 Address :  R. João Amorim, 429 Centro 58013-310 João Pessoa - PB Brazil  YOOOOOOOO   WEEKLY LIGHTS: - Getting absolutely DRENCHED from the rain  - PIZZAAAA  - speaking in sacrament meeting...  - finding out that I have cousin serving with me?!  - meeting with president and the other secretaries about our calling !!!  - having 9 of our friends come to church yesterday !! okay, little backstory about my "cousin". There is this elder in my mission who is from the *other side of Idaho, Pocatello... Anyway, I have family out there so I got to talking with him today and it turns out that his sister married my cousin who lives there! So no, we aren't technically cousins but hey, it's a small world!!  SPIRITUAL THOUGHT This week I shared a message after ...

Sempre tá trocando né?: 7.6/10

"Always switching right?" WEEKLY LIGHTS:  - I left training!  - getting called to be a secretária?!? (Secretary to the mission)  - getting transferred to Oceania  - Leaving Sister Cetre :(( - being comps with Sister Johnson!! She's from burley Idaho!! #potatogals - putting Eerivaldo on date for baptism! SPIRITUAL THOUGHT: In relief society we talked about peace. About finding personal peace. THIS IS SO IMPORTANT. The world will never be perfect. Most of the time, the world isn't peaceful. But, if we can find our peace, we can make it through. President Eyring gave a GREAT TALK on personal peace this last conference. The best way to find personal peace is through Christ. THERE IS PEACE IS CHRIST.  KACHOW MOMENT:  With leaving training, I can't rely on my companion to always talk and I just need to say the little things. So I'm trying so hard to talk more and be more involved with the lessons and it's going well!! I don't know how people understand me bu...

In the states we have sketchy fair rides, in Brasil, they have the ônibus.  - teaching Laura over the phone and inviting her to be baptized!! - José went to the temple !! SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:  I can't think of the scripture reference but you know that scriptures "with small and simple things, great things come to pass"? This is the story with Laura. Two weeks ago, Laura and her mom were walking by the church and just walked in. Luckily, we were there on a phone call. Laura is 15 and was curious about the church, so they walked in. Sister cetre needed to finish...
